I am writing this blog about my last online session of Amal Career-Prep Fellowship. Yes, I am talking about June 12, 2021. This is the day that marked the end to my 3-months long journey full of sweet memories and many lolly pop moments.

“Wisdom…. comes not from age, but from education and learning.”

As the last session was about our Mega project presentation, where everyone appeared in the presentation with full preparation and enthusiasm. Seeing my fellow mates with so much dedication and hard work motivated me to go extra miles. It made me realize to work a little harder and with full dedication to achieve your goals. It gave me a lesson of hard work, being professional and showing interest in whatever we do.

As Allama Iqbal has also said in his famous verse:

“The world is something to be made and re-made by continuous action/amal”

Overall throughout this journey we all have developed a positive and growth mindset and are now able to think of different perspectives from a broader aspect.

Though It was the combination of mixed feelings where on one hand everyone was excited about the successful ending of this journey and on the other hand the thought of departing from the Amal family was making everyone sad. But every beginning has an end and we have to move forward with the flow of life.

I enjoyed this session because;

· It was different than the regular online sessions

· It didn’t have any recap of the online course

· There was no compulsion to attend the whole session

· The presence of the particular circle was mandatory at the presentation timings only

· It was very informative as different circles were presenting their ideas and there were many new learning opportunities

· External facilitators also provided certain constructive feedback's that could be followed for further improvement.

· We also got chance of asking informal questions from one another at the end and tried to know each other well.

The last session was not only about talking and getting connected without any work rather, everything happened with a flow. First of all, each circle presented their presentation and then at last we had informal discussions with the fellows and the Program Manager and Program Associate. It was more fun to know about each others funny stories.

“People rarely succeed unless they have fun in what they are doing.”

Some of the friends from Amal academy have been included in my contact list with whom I will get in touch easily whenever I want. For the rest of others, I have other means of contact like LinkedIn profile, Batch Facebook group, Batch Whats App group, Email address etc. It may be an end to this 3-months journey but not to our learning from each other and I will definitely remain in touch with my Amal family to seek advice and help whenever I will need.

As this famous quote says;

“There is no end to education. It is not that you read a book, pass an examination, and finish with education. The whole of life, from the moment you are born to the moment you die, is a process of learning.”

In the beginning of the Fellowship I’ve never expected to get so much learning but now when I am graduated from Amal I could recognize the difference in my personality whether its regarding professional skills or soft skills. Whatever learning I have got from Amal academy; I will try to use them in my future life by implementing them in the practical field whether its an interview or writing a cover letter or making a CV for hunting a job or expanding our network. Apart from these, I am also practicing the soft skills like, team work, leadership, communication, public speaking, showing gratitude, establishing mentor-men-tee relationship, networking etc in my daily life.

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.”

Program Manager
Program Associate

The personalities I would like to show gratitude for making my Amal journey successful are; Ma’am Yusra Asad(Program Manager) and Ma’am Fatima Tariq(Program Associate). Thank you for being the best teachers and facilitating Batch 193 throughout this Fellowship by making much efforts and investing your precious time.

Batch 193 is dedicating this success to you. May you both shine and remain happy as always. More power to you.

Thank you Amal for giving me a Great learning opportunity.
